When talking about couples, we have to begin with one of our favourites- Baek Hyun-woo and Jong Hae-in. This couple, who filled us up with tears with each passing episode, were absolutely wonderful and came by with a chemistry that had us all entrapped. This duo was powerful yet so covered in love that we could feel their emotions through the screen.
Queen of Tears follows the story of a couple who strive through the hurdles brought in front of them and stay together against all odds. Their thrilling journey is unlike any other, showing the love they share despite what the world says about them.
Kang Ji-won and Yoo Ji-hyeok (Marry My Husband)
To go beyond time and space for the one you love, Ji-hyeok really outdid many other male leads this year with his devotion towards Ji-won. These two have always been perfect for each other and seeing them come together was one of the most satisfying ways to start this year. The love these two shared was beautiful and worth every moment of watching the show.
Marry My Husband follows a woman who is betrayed by her husband and best friend. However, she is reborn before things go downhill, giving her a chance to fix everything that went wrong. On the way, she finds people who genuinely care for her and a love who has been waiting for her all this time.
Yeo Jeong-woo and Nam Ha-neul (Doctor Slump)
The rivals-to-lovers troupe never fail to entertain us and these two did it better than anyone else this year. Jeong-woo and Ha-neul reunited when they were both at rock bottom and while this gave way to them falling in love, we also got to see feelings from a time forgotten that were buried under their rivalry. These two bring a fun and energetic vibe to love that we can’t resist.
Doctor Slump follows two school rivals who make it big into the world, but when tragedy hits the two a reunion takes place. Soon, the two begin to look beyond their misconceptions about each other and begin a new journey together.
Seo Ji-hwan and Go Eun-ha (My Sweet Mobster)
This couple has to be one of my favourites this year because the cuteness they bring on screen was unlike any other. These two are the perfect people to be together and while they heal each other in their own ways in the process, the love and longing they hold is beautiful. This couple is definitely entertaining, but the way they hold each other is simple and unforgettable.
My Sweet Mobster follows the story of a legend in the underworld who has turned into the CEO of a company that hires ex-convicts; and his intersection with a beloved children’s entertainer. Filled with a series of hilarious and embarrassing meets, the two begin to understand each other better and find out a past that they share.
Kang Bit-na and Han Da-on (The Judge from Hell)
The couple of the year for sure; the devil Kang Bit-na and her human Han Da-on are surely the couple we cannot overlook. Be it their beautiful yet heartbreaking story or their irresistible chemistry, these two are surely one of the most loved couples of 2024. Park Shin-hye’s aura is smoothly matched by Kim Jae-young which brings about one of the best dynamics of a power couple this year.
The Judge from Hell follows a demon judge from hell who has been punished to live as a human for a year, with a mission to send 10 irredeemable criminals to hell. However, things take a turn for her when she comes across a peculiar human.
Choi Seung-hyo and Bae Seok-ryu (Love Next Door)
While many others are hitting us right from the start, this couple slowly grows onto us and leaves us with a heartwarming feeling. The SeungSeok couple is surely one of the greenest couples this year and all for the right reasons because they are just too good. Their chemistry is smooth and we cannot stop falling for them.
Love Next Door follows the story of childhood friends who drift apart, only to meet once again years later. As they begin a journey of rekindling their bond, they find themselves healing forgotten wounds.
Kim San-ha and Yun Ju-won (Family by Choice)
The SanWon couple that had us crying, we have seen this duo grow together before getting into a relationship. From San-ha’s one sided love to a fulfilling relationship, we have all loved this couple dearly this year. Be it for San-ha’s patience or for Ju-won’s healing support, this couple is simply beautiful in many ways.
Family by Choice tells the story of a trio bound by love, making a family with their two fathers after being abandoned by blood. The story follows their journey as they pass the hurdles of life while still being connected to each other.
Chae Yong-ju and Yun Min-ju (Brewing Love)
Another couple that healed us all this year, the JuJu couple was surely a pleasure to watch for fans. From their light-hearted collisions to their deeply wounded hearts that get healed together, this couple wasn’t easy to get together but it was worth it all. Definitely a duo we have all loved.

While this couple showed up just recently, it has been one of our favourites this year for sure. This couple has everything to make our hearts flutter and seeing the deeply rooted feelings that are slowly emerging, viewers can’t stop themselves from falling for this couple. They certainly know how to melt our hearts and we are loving them.
When the Phone Rings follows the story of a high society couple who have been brought together through a marriage of convenience. However, things change between then when the wife is kidnapped, bringing out feelings that have been hidden until now.
Ryu Seon-jae and Im Sol (Lovely Runner)
Finally, we have the couple that had our hearts locked up for a long time are this captivating couple had everything to keep us hooked. Making us laugh and cry, this duo filled our year with emotions that we still feel somewhere while their chemistry brought about a beautiful magic that we cannot stop returning to.
Lovely Runner follows the story of a young girl who is stuck by the death of her favourite idol. However, she finds herself returning to the past and is given a chance to save him; only to find out that they share a deeper connection than she had expected.
