The 39th Golden Disc Awards (GDA) takes place on the 4th and 5th of January, 2025 at the Mizuho PayPay Dome in Fukuoka, Japan. The event is hosted by Sung Si-kyung, Cha Eun-woo, and Moon Ga-young. Due to the recent Jeju Air plane crash, the red carpet photo event has been canceled and the live broadcast has been delayed until the 6th of January.
Several winners were announced on the first day of the awards ceremony, on January 4th. Among the 10 groups and solo singers that won Digital Bonsang, aespa successfully took the Daesang trophy.
In addition, ILLIT and TWS won Rookie of the Year, while KISS OF LIFE was awarded Next Generation.
The 39th Golden Disc Awards will continue with Day 2 on the 5th with fans’ anticipation for beautiful stages and the announcement of the Album Daesang winner.
