Jonathan started by saying, “Recently, the revival of ‘ISAC’ has been a hot topic,” and asked, “Wasn’t Sistar dominating the early days of ISAC?” Previously, ISAC, short for ‘Idol Star Athletics Championships,’ is a variety show aired during the holidays on MBC, where idols from various agencies compete in sports.
Hyolyn admitted, “We were also very surprised,” and confessed, “It was a talent we discovered at ISAC.” She mentioned that Sistar never missed first place in the relay races. From 2010 to 2015, Sistar consistently participated in ISAC, winning 9 gold medals in the relay team events and sweeping medals in individual events like hurdles, high jump, and running, earning the nickname ‘sports idols.’ Later on, they faced competition from other agencies and even held a retirement ceremony.
Jonathan asked, “Idol fans say they get sick of just hearing the term ‘ISAC.'” According to various sources, there are also some underlying tensions on-site, making it not an easy situation. Hyolyn confessed, “I only realized that recently,” and added, “I’ve never even received any advances.”
Hyolyn mentioned that Sistar really only participated to sweep the competitions and to exercise.
