The Judge from Hell Episode 2 Recap

Facing Jeong-jun, ready to strike him with her knife, Bit-na is about to make her move when Da-on arrives and pauses her plans. He approaches the two, ready to attack Jeong-jun, but Bit-na stops him before he makes a mistake. The other officers arrive and stop Da-on, taking Jeong-jun into custody while Da-on takes Bit-na to Min-jeong’s house.

He shows her the consequence of her judgment to make her feel guilty, but she rebukes him and tells him that she made the judgment according to the law. If there is anyone he should hate then it is the law and not her. Da-on cannot take her attitude anymore and tells her that he will go to another judge to make sure that Jeong-jun stays behind bars.

Elsewhere, Min-jeong is saved on time when she tries to commit suicide but is left with a trauma that is not easy to escape. Meanwhile, Jeong-jun is taken into custody but doesn’t stay inside for long and the officers try to get an arrest warrant for him; while Da-on keeps an eye on him. As they tighten the security around Min-jeong, Da-on is about to fail once again when Jeong-jun arrives at Min-jeong’s family house to attack everyone. However, a message puts a pause on his plans and he turns elsewhere. The next day, Da-on arrives to check on the family but is met with Min-jeong’s father’s attack who thought it to be Jeong-jun.

Da-on is worried about the family who is on the verge of a breakdown due to Jeong-jun, when he gets a call that informs him that Jeong-jun is dead. This leaves him shocked; elsewhere, Bit-na is in a happy mood as she remembers the deeds of last night. 12 hours back, Bit-na lured Jeong-jun away from Min-jeong’s house when he was about to kill the family.

She pretended to be Min-jeong and called him to an area void of people where redevelopment was to take place. Jeong-jun is surprised to see Bit-na arrive at the location sent to him by Min-jeong but tries to keep his calm. However, Bit-na makes it clear to him that he is here to receive the punishment that he rightfully deserves.

Jeong-jun is confused by her words when she makes it clear that she is a demon who is ready to send him to hell. But before that, she will punish him by making him experience what he did to Min-jeong. With this, the scene around them changes and Jeong-jun finds himself in a cafe with Bit-na in front of him, as his girlfriend. Bit-na shows him the aggressive behavior he had once shown Min-jeong, leaving him powerless to resist her.

As she takes him through various scenarios of abuse, where he is the one facing the abuse, Jeong-jun finally understands the pain he put Min-jeong through. In the end, he begins asking for forgiveness, but seeing him try to escape by harming her, Bit-na makes sure that he feels the pain Min-jeong had to go through before his end.

As she throws him everywhere and physically harms him, she soon puts an end to everything by putting her knife through his abdomen and sending him Gehenna. With this, she takes the first step to completing her task in the human world, leaving her happy and satisfied. The next day, officers receive news of the same and are left wondering how the murder took place without any clue of what happened.

Unknown to them, workers under Justitia made sure to not leave any stone unturned when they used their magic to clean up the house that had been wrecked by Justitia the previous night. Meanwhile, the only clue the police have on hand is the mark left on Jeong-jun’s forehead that says “hell”.

Meanwhile, Bit-na looks into her next case when she is called by her superior who rebukes her for the judgment she passed on Jeong-jun. However, he isn’t able to say much due to the backing of an assemblyman that leaves Bit-na untouched. Bit-na, however, is confused about this assemblyman and finds out that she had an engagement with his son.

Later, she returns home which is in a deserted area where redevelopment is to take place soon. Her landlady, a deaconess in a church, calls her to a meeting where they discuss the redevelopment. She tries to get their signatures on a paper that shows their opposition to the redevelopment and with a little bribe from the landlady, Bit-na doesn’t hesitate to sign the paper before hurrying out.

The next day, Min-jeong meets Da-on and tells him that she met Bit-na some time back who unintentionally comforted her by telling her to not feel guilty for feeling happy about Jeong-jun’s death. This unburdened her heart and helped her find peace in life. Da-on is surprised by this but soon receives another surprise when Bit-na jumps in front of his vehicle that very evening.

Da-on shouts at her for jumping in front of him like this but Bit-na tells him that there was no other way after he blocked her everywhere. She tells him how it was easy to get his location after she called his workplace and pretended to be his girlfriend who wanted to surprise him. She then smoothly invites him for dinner and slowly moves to the topic of her interest.

She had planned to get access to other criminals who are worthy to be sent to hell through him but when he refuses to tell her anything, Bit-na gets Da-on drunk. However, he reveals to her that he a murderer who killed three people in the past and is someone who cannot be forgiven. This leaves Bit-na shocked and happy as her next target is right in front of her, drifting off to sleep.

The next morning, Da-on wakes up confused but understands that he revealed some secrets to Bit-na. He asks her to keep it a secret and she smiles away promising him the same. However, she suddenly gets close to him and strikes him with her knife which is supposed to send murderers to hell. Da-on is astonished while Bit-na is happy to see her task going smoothly.
