Park Ji-ah’s younger brother posted a screenshot of the article about Yeom Hye-ran’s acceptance speech and expressed his gratitude, “Thank you, Yeom Hye-ran. When my sister was fighting for her life in the ICU and visitors weren’t allowed, you visited multiple times and prayed for her even if it was just outside the door. Even after she barely overcame the critical moments and was still battling her illness, you visited multiple times, offering conversations and care that gave strength to my sister. We heard from the nurses about the love and friendship you showed her, without our family even knowing.”

He continued, “You were there until my sister’s final moments, showing unwavering friendship, holding my mother’s hand, hugging and comforting her. We are so grateful. I feel I didn’t thank you properly at the time, so I want to bow my head in deep gratitude once again.”

He added “I came across the article by chance while going about my day, and it brought great comfort to my mother and me. Thank you for not forgetting my sister, even during your joyous moment of receiving the award. Congratulations on your well-deserved win” and tagged Yeom Hye-ran.

After Park Ji-ah’s funeral on October 2nd, her younger brother shared his grief, “After saying goodbye to my sister… I miss those times when we would call each other ‘fool’ and joke around. It hurts so much, like my heart is being torn apart. She was so innocent and naive, unaware of the harshness of the world, and I always worried about her. But now, I just hope she’s truly happy, with no worries, in the place where Dad is. I miss you so much! I miss you like crazy!
