Jessi Involved in Assault, Not the First Time: “Attacked in a Club, Same Method as Now”

On the October 16 broadcast of JTBC’s “Crime Chief,” an informant, referred to as A, revealed that they were assaulted by Jessi and her group at a club in Itaewon in 2013. A claimed they suffered injuries that required 2 weeks of medical treatment and that Jessi held their arms, preventing them from escaping, making her an accomplice. However, Jessi denied the allegations, stating she was merely trying to stop a fight between her friends.

A recounted, “We ran into each other in the restroom, and they picked a fight for no reason and attacked me.” They added, “Jessi and her friends hit me and tried to push my face into the toilet. They took my bag and told me to kneel and apologize to get it back.”

A, a Korean-American, explained that although they were assaulted about a month before leaving Korea, they had to drop the case due to work commitments and pre-arranged flight plans, making it difficult to pursue legal action.

A also criticized Jessi’s recent claim that the assailant had left Korea, stating, “They said the same thing back then too.” A mockingly questioned, “Is the attacker Chinese? That’s a joke.”

Jessi became involved in another assault case on the night of September 29. An 18-year-old fan, identified as B, reportedly asked Jessi for a photo in a nearby alley. One of Jessi’s group members allegedly cursed at B in English and blocked him, while Jessi politely declined the request. After B walked away, another man from the group allegedly hit B in the face.

B expressed disappointment, “I was hit, but there was no real reaction. Even in the video, Jessi just stood there watching. I was a fan of hers, but seeing that made me really disappointed.”

Jessi responded, explaining that she had politely declined the fan’s request twice due to the late hour and that an unexpected assault occurred by someone she had just met that day. She stated, “I was so shocked by the situation that I couldn’t properly care for the fan at the time.”

On October 16, Jessi appeared at the Gangnam Police Station for questioning as a suspect. Before entering, she told reporters, “I hope they find the person who hit them and make them face justice,” reiterating that she had only met the assailant that night.
