In perhaps news that shouldn’t surprise me, while Jessi completed her police questioning recently for the investigation into an assault that a supposed acquaintance of an acquaintance committed against a young fan that was caught on video, now her assault case from 2013 has resurfaced.
The alleged victim (Korean-American woman) in that incident has come forward to talk about what happened over a decade ago, recounting her accusation that Jessi and two of her friends assaulted her in the bathroom of an Itaewon club. Back then, Jessi claimed she was not involved it was later dropped, though the alleged victim says it wasn’t because it didn’t happen.
The victim said, “Back then, I met Jessi and her friends at the club’s restroom, where they unreasonably instigated the fight and started jumping me when I told them to go in first. They tried to shove my head into a toilet. After snatching my purse away, they said I could have it back if only I apologized with my knees on the floor.”
As for why she dropped the charges, she added, “The incident occurred when I was planning to come back to the U.S. for work and I had already made plans such as buying plane tickets. It would have taken about a year for the case to be decided, and I couldn’t leave the country while the case was ongoing, so I had no choice but to drop the case.”
“She then said that her friend who assaulted me went back to the U.S., and it’s the same in the recent case how she is saying the perpetrator went back to China. If there was no CCTV footage, Jessi would have said she was not involved.”
The report itself includes pictures of the injuries she allegedly suffered at the hands of Jessi and her friends.
The woman goes on to express sympathy to the teenage fan that was assaulted, saying she feels like things are playing out the exact same way for him as they did for her.

Speaking of the assaulted teenage fan of Jessi, things escalated on that end as well. The mother of the victim didn’t seem keen on accepting her apology…
I saw her apology, but she only seemed to be making excuses. It doesn’t make sense that the person who suddenly assaulted him was someone she saw the first time that day. My child says that the person Jessi claimed was not her acquaintance was with her.
…and neither did the victim.,
It doesn’t seem like she is reflecting at all, and using the term ‘moral responsibility’ doesn’t make it look genuine.
More importantly, he identifies Koala as Jessi’s friend, and says he also assaulted him. Furthermore, he also says he seems to belong to a Korean gang. (Koala’s alleged friend is the one who was caught on video committing assault.)
He first hit me in the stomach twice and kept pushing me with his head even though I avoided him. I heard him say something about a gang when he was with friends, and his body movements didn’t seem normal. I searched him up afterward, and it seemed like he was part of a Korean gang.
The acquaintance in question is reportedly producer Koala, who has a KOS tattoo that allegedly represents Korean Outlaws from California.
Jessi’s company, DOD, denies knowledge about Koala being in a gang or not.
Koala has worked on music with Jessi several times. Jessi has no affiliation or knowledge about Koala being in a gang.
I realize international netizens are primed to defend women celebrities, which is understandable since they usually get more shit from the press and are held to different standards by society. But the 2013 incident definitely came to mind when this story broke for me as well, and given Jessi’s … lively past, I wouldn’t say any of this would necessarily surprise me if it ends up being true.
As far as what will happen in this case, probably not much of anything but a hit to Jessi’s public image.
