‘Those Funeral Flowers Were Disgusting’

Seunghan’s departure has left a fissure in the K-pop community, as many fans are still processing their feelings about the idol’s exit. The news also drew a reaction from former DAY6 member and soloist, Jae.

On October 17, fans caught wind of Jae’s post on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), which mentioned the protest of OT6 BRIIZEs in front of the SM Entertainment building. The protest demanded the departure of Seunghan, whose return to the group was announced days prior.

The “VISIONS” singer expressed disgust over the decision to send funeral flowers before adding, “The same people who sent them will be the first ones online mourning the tragic outcome they fought for.”

“God forbid tragedy occurs but I’ve been on that side before and it was close,” Jae shared. “I can’t imagine the trauma it would cause someone that young.”

Under the post, fans praised Jae for opening up his thoughts about the unfortunate incident.

  • “Thank you very much for your voice, Jae. I really hope that this cruel situation will not happen to anyone else.”
  • “Thank you so much for speaking up about this. Thank you, Jae.”
  • “Agree! I don’t understand why they choose to kick him out rather than find people who are harassing and bullying him.”
  • “The internet is really scary. I just hope you’re healing well but really, that poor young boy I hope Seunghan knows he’s loved so much.”
