According to Herald Economy and court registry documents on the 20th, Han So Hee purchased a 203㎡ duplex penthouse in the ‘Arcadia Signature’ complex located in Acheon-dong, Guri City, Gyeonggi Province, for 5.24 billion KRW (approximately 4.12 million USD) on August 21st.
On September 30th, Han So Hee completed the payment and officially transferred the ownership of the property, with a mortgage of 1.1 billion KRW (approximately 860,000 USD) set by a commercial bank.
Given that the maximum loan amount is typically set at 110–120% of the borrowed sum, it is estimated that she took out a loan of around 1 billion KRW (790,000 USD) to acquire the penthouse.
Previously, Han So Hee resided in the nearby “Villa de Grium W,” which she had purchased in cash for 1.95 billion KRW (1.53 million USD) in December 2021, gaining attention at the time.
Arcadia Signature, completed in May last year, is a luxury residential complex with only eight units, ranging from 4 to 5 billion KRW per unit. It consists of six regular homes and two penthouses, with Han So Hee’s being the largest duplex unit, featuring four bedrooms, three bathrooms, an attic, and a rooftop terrace. The penthouse also offers views of Achasan, Yongmasan, and the Han River.
Acheul Village, where the complex is located, is an emerging wealthy area, only 15 minutes by car from Seoul’s Gangnam district, and home to many celebrities, including actor couple Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin, actress Oh Yeon Seo, and soccer player Kim Min Jae.
The area, once a greenbelt zone that was lifted in 2006, now hosts many single-family homes and luxury villas. It has long been known as an “Artists’ Village” due to the presence of renowned artists such as the late novelist Park Wan Suh, painter Lee Sung Ja, and printmaker Choi Ji Sook, who lived there for many years.
