The episode, which aired on October 22, revealed Yul-hee’s fortune reading on TV Chosun’s channel program “All By Myself.”
In the episode, Yul-hee visited a fortune teller with her childhood friend. The fortune teller began by saying, “I’ll tell you everything exactly how I see it,” and proceeded to make significant observations about Yul-hee, stating, “You’re sensitive and particular to an extreme degree,” and “You’re incredibly smart, quick to adapt, and good at handling situations.” The reading also accurately identified her aptitude for arts and physical activities. The fortune teller explained, “Your environment changes in 10-year cycles, and during these transitions, you experience divorce, separation, or loss.”
The fact that these accurate readings were made without any prior information about Yul-hee left everyone astonished. The fortune teller continued, “You must have known men early in life, and pregnancy led to marriage, but maintaining the marriage wouldn’t be possible.” When Yul-hee responded, “Actually, I’ve already been through that,” the fortune teller added, “You don’t have luck when it comes to men,” and explained, “If you had continued living together, you would have developed mental illness or needed psychiatric help for depression. Divorce was actually the better choice.” When the fortune teller added, “You must have felt suffocated, either developing depression or going through extremely difficult times, feeling like you would die,” Yul-hee confirmed this was true, getting chills.
Subsequently, Yul-hee asked about her children’s fate and how they would view her as a mother. Surprisingly, without any prior information, the fortune teller asked, “You’re not raising your children yourself, are you?” and stated, “It shows in your fortune that you’re not raising them.” The fortune teller predicted, “It appears (the children) will seek out their mother later,” which caused Yul-hee to become emotional, saying, “That’s why I need to work harder to live well.”
The fortune teller assured her, “Later, you’ll be able to bring them to live with you and will have the means to do so.” She added, “Your children are intelligent and will grow up well – it’s just that right now isn’t the time for them to be with their mother.”
She also predicted, “After your next fortune cycle (in your 30s), you’ll have a comfortable relationship with your children.” Upon hearing this, Yul-hee expressed her relief, saying, “I feel more at ease now, that’s fortunate,” and added, “I wanted to be good to my children, and now I feel like I can do that – this has been very comforting.”
