Actress Moon Geun Young recently spoke about how she has made a recovery from a rare illness that caused her to step away from the public for many years.

Moon thanked fans for their concern over how she was feeling in an Instagram post published on October 21.

The 37-year-old actress was suffering from acute compartment syndrome — which is a condition whereby increased pressure within a muscle compartment causes horrible blood supply, threatening the function or viability of the tissue.

Moon had four surgeries in 2017 to remedy that problem. She wrote, “I really wanted to say this…

More people were worried about my health than I thought. I’m so grateful for that.”

One thing she asked reporters to relay is that she’s doing just fine. She wrote: “So please make sure that you report back that I am very, very healthy.

Moon told “I did my best. I’m sorry being getting little chubby but i’m on diet now and i will be fit soon you know.”Instead of fighting for my health, I hope you cheer my diet success! 🥰”

Moon Geun Young will be appearing in the upcoming Netflix series Hellbound 2, premiering October 25.
