The “Weekly Music Industry Report” disclosed by Representative Min Hyung Bae (Democratic Party) during the National Assembly’s Culture, Sports and Tourism Committee audit on October 24 contained derogatory comments such as, “They debuted when the members were at an age where they look particularly unattractive“, “None of them have idol-like facial features“, “A prominent tendency to emphasize appearance and sex appeal“, “Surprisingly, none of them are pretty” and “Shockingly unattractive.” The report included evaluations of minors’ appearances, drawing harsh criticism.

In response, Zico clarified through his Instagram that he had never seen the email containing that document.

He wrote, “What is this about… I’m writing this after reading today’s article, and I feel like I need to directly address this issue. I have never seen that document, and I’ve never even opened that email… Today, through the news, I found out for the first time that I was added to the list of recipients. I’m not sure if this explanation will cause even more misunderstandings. So, before giving my stance, I directly asked KOZ and confirmed that they never opened that email or document either. I hope everyone has a peaceful day.”
