Sunwoo Jung-a Praises IU “Warm and Kind + It Was a Joy to Direct Her”

On October 31, Sunwoo Jung-a appeared as a guest on the YouTube channel “Jae friends”.

During the show, Kim Jaejoong was surprised to learn that Sunwoo Jung-a had produced 2NE1’s song “It Hurts”. Sunwoo Jung-a explained, “At that time, I was really into Alicia Keys, so I wrote it while playing the piano with that vibe in mind. The song was arranged with an R&B feel, and the co-producer wrote the lyrics, which taught me a lot about popular appeal.” She also performed her version of “It Hurts”.

Sunwoo Jung-a named IU as the artist who left the strongest impression on her. When asked what stood out, she replied, “Her warmth? The warmth she shows in treating others. Her kindness.” She continued, “I struggle with that. I’m usually curt, and if I don’t feel like someone is ‘my person’, I’m not naturally kind. I consider that a flaw of mine, but IU, even though she’s much younger than me, is kind to everyone. I thought to myself, ‘She’s truly remarkable.’

Sunwoo Jung-a recalled her time directing IU and said, “It made me so happy. She’s so expressive because she can act. If you ask her to express a ‘sophisticated house cat’, she does exactly that, and if you ask her to smile a little, she gives a smiley sound.”

Additionally, Sunwoo Jung-a confessed to being a fan of Seo In-guk. She said, “I became a fan by accident and ended up writing and releasing a song for him. Seo In-guk even granted the rights for his image in the music video.”
