On October 31st, V shared a photo with the caption “Congratulations to all EBC 1180th graduates on their hard work,” celebrating his senior colleagues’ completion of their military service.
The shared photo, taken while riding in a vehicle with his fellow soldiers, captured attention for V’s impressive physique, particularly his well-defined arms visible in his sleeveless uniform, along with his healthy complexion.
Letters from his graduating SDT seniors proved particularly touching. One senior wrote, “Hey Taehyung hyung, we talked a lot at the base, but there are still things I want to say, so I’m writing them down. Since your transfer in February, we’ve motivated each other during workouts. When our unit’s gym equipment was lacking, you donated new equipment which made our workouts more enjoyable. You bought us Häagen-Dazs from the PX, and when your song “Friends” was released, you treated us to meals during our outings – those were really great memories.”
He continued, “You were there to give advice during tough times, and even though I hadn’t decided on my career path, you discussed areas that matched my interests and recommended books. What touched me most was how you silently believed in me even when I chose a different path from what you suggested. You treated my dreams as if they were your own and believed in me even when I doubted myself. That helped me build a stronger foundation for my dreams. I’ll always keep you in my heart, and even when things get tough or I want to give up, I’ll work hard and never abandon the dream you helped me discover. Thank you for being there with me through this time, whether it felt short or long, sharing laughs and overcoming difficult training together.”
V responded to his senior’s letter: “I was so happy to spend my military service with you, and working out together was really fun. I was worried about the age gap being an issue, but breaking down that wall and hanging out like friends, just the three of us – those memories still resonate deeply with me. I wish we could have been in the same class. As both a friend and a hyung, congratulations on completing your service. Whether you become a successful bodybuilder or not, let’s stay in touch and work out together, remembering our memories. I’ll visit often and help maintain the great atmosphere you guys created in the Special Duty Team. It’s a bit embarrassing that I’m crying because I’m so emotional. Thank you for warmly welcoming me despite being my senior, and I was happy to create such good memories with you over these 8 months!”
Another wrote, “Taehyung hyung, I miss you already. I only have good memories from our time together. You were like a problem-solver who always supported our dreams and helped eliminate our worries through counseling. I’m so grateful that you provided all the exercise equipment for everyone working out – I might have lost all my gains without you! The time spent with you was such a great experience and memory for me. Whenever you encouraged my dreams, my uncertain path became clearer. Thank you for giving me such great hope. I’ll never forget your kindness and will achieve my dreams to stand proudly before you. Thank you, and please stay safe!”
In addition to this, these seniors also promised to visit V regularly, creating a heartwarming moment of camaraderie.
