In a recent incident that raised concerns about the safety of K-pop idols, Taeyong from NCT experienced a frightening encounter with a sasaeng fan during a Navy event today. The fan approached Taeyong and unexpectedly grabbed his arm, causing him to visibly flinch and pull away in surprise.
Witnesses reported that as Taeyong turned around, he was startled by the fan’s sudden advance. His fellow group members quickly intervened, attempting to separate the fan from Taeyong and advising him to move to a different area for his safety.
Following his performance, Taeyong found himself surrounded by an overwhelming crowd, which quickly escalated into a chaotic scene. To ensure his safety, he had to retreat into a nearby building, waiting until the crowd dispersed before he could safely leave the venue.
This unsettling event comes on the heels of Taeyong being stalked by a sasaeng fan at the Korean Navy concert the previous day. The fan had disguised herself as a staff member, allowing her to sneak backstage and attempt to approach him without being detected.
This is not the first time Taeyong has been bothered by crazy fans. Previously, Taeyong begged sasaeng fans to stop calling him on Instagram live.
On March 19, NCT’s Taeyong had an Instagram live broadcast to chat with fans. However, he kept receiving calls from sasaeng fans that caused the mic on his phone to be muted.
Taeyong could not hold back and had to directly call out those who continued to call him using unknown numbers from the US. Taeyong’s expressions show that he is extremely annoyed and distressed at being interrupted by sasaeng fans.
Taeyong then begged sasaeng fans to stop calling him in English. Although the live got muted, fans can still read Taeyong’s lips as he said, “Please don’t call me. That’s so rude. I’m really scared, so please don’t call me. If you know my number, please don’t call me, please…”
Taeyong’s fans have also expressed their anger regarding this issue and repeatedly asked other fans to not cross the boundaries and respect Taeyong’s privacy.
