On November 3rd, Winter appeared as a guest on the online channel “BDNS.” In the episode, she chatted with Moon Sang-hoon.
When asked, “Don’t you like walking?” Winter replied, “Yes, I really enjoy walking. I get bored easily, so even if I have a set route, I’ll take a side path or even walk down a completely unknown road.”
Winter shared that when she walks, she tends to focus more on music than on her thoughts. Asked if she has a go-to playlist for her walks, she replied, “It depends on my mood, but lately I’ve been enjoying zitten’s ‘White Night’ and also ‘Shampoo Fairy’ by Light and Salt.”
When asked about her day-off routine, Winter said, “When I’m resting alone, I still try to make some plans. For me, the best plan is not scheduling exercise or self-care routines. But I end up scheduling them anyway, so my goal is to not do that.” She continued, “Since it’s a job where I can’t really relax fully, sometimes going out without a plan, hanging out with my members, or visiting an amusement park feels like a true holiday.”
When asked, “Do you go to amusement parks too?” she explained, “Before the concert, just focusing on practice made things feel overwhelming, with too much to memorize and stress about. Since practice didn’t start until the afternoon, I asked one of the dancers, ‘Do you want to go to an amusement park?’ So we went, wearing hats and masks, and rode some rides. Even that was healing for me.”
Moon Sang-hoon commented, “If I were an aespa member, I feel like the thrill of riding a roller coaster would be doubled by the thrill of wondering if people would recognize me.” Winter laughed and agreed, saying, “The ride we went on had a really long line, and we waited over two hours, but no one recognized me.”
When asked if they do anything similar to athletes who gather and cheer before a match, Winter said, “I don’t think we do that before recording. But before going on stage, we’ll shout ‘Ah~!’ and sometimes jump around a bit.”
aespa recently released their fifth mini-album, Whiplash.
