The Judge from Hell Review

After messing up a judgement on an innocent soul and sending her to the murderer’s hell, demon Justicia is punished by going to the mortal realm. There she has to send 10 unrepented sinners to hell within a year or else she will cease to exist. Justicia begins her task in the mortal realm, but when a righteous cop- Han Da-on, collides with her, everything changes for the unfeeling demon.

As she develops feelings for the human she is not supposed to have, troubles get to her. This is the Justicia turned Bit-na’s journey on earth as she fights these weakening feelings and tries to finish her task. On the way, she begins to become a better judge, feels love, and life-changing events that redefine her life.

To begin with, this is one of the best Korean dramas this year hands down. The plot is wonderfully written and the characters are even better. The show has everything it has promised and keeps the individuality of every character without uprooting their essence. To add on, the cast has carried their characters to perfection and brought an enjoyable time for everyone who watches this show.

The Judge from Hell Episode 12 Review

The plot of The Judge from Hell is filled with twists and turns, while also bringing a sense of satisfaction with every episode. Being a legal drama, the cases presented are surely a highlight and every one of them has been done right. The show has brought some very intriguing cases with some very satisfying conclusions that I have loved. The conclusions were especially satisfying as they don’t follow the conventional route, instead opt for a very satisfying route that you are sure to enjoy.

Moving on to the characters, they have each been written with beautiful precision that follows a wonderful development. From the main characters to the supporting cast, every one of them catches your attention and leaves you wanting more. The main character certainly stands out and experiences a smooth development while the supporting characters keep the entertainment alive at every moment. The characters are sure to look out for as they are just as crazy as the main leads.

This takes us to the cast who have brought an enjoyable experience for drama watchers with their performance. Park Shin-hye is a wonderful, versatile actor and she has shown her skills this year. After an eye-catching performance in Doctor Slump, she shocked us with her portrayal of Kang Bit-na aka Justicia. She keeps the madness of her demonic character throughout the show while the first few moments as the real Kang Bit-na are also beautifully portrayed.

What left us even more shocked was how wonderfully Kim Jae-young matched her aura and shared the spotlight with the star. He showed the different side of his character with such smoothness, we saw his gentleness, curiosity, observations, madness, pain, sadness, everything! He is just as much of a highlight as Park Shin-hye. Meanwhile, the other cast members are just as amazing in capturing your attention and will leave you wanting to know more about them.

Moving on, we have to talk about the beautiful cinematography of the show that will bring you the complete experience. The colours, the camerawork, the locations, everything is chosen so well that it takes you on a journey like no other. The transitions between the scenes, especially those of Justicia’s punishments, are beautiful and I have loved every part of it.

Altogether, this show was a complete package for Kdrama watchers and has done justice to the story, the characters, and everything that they stand for. Without turning it into a complete romance, it has focused on the characters who showed some wonderful development.
