The Judge from Hell (지옥에서 온 판사) brought us a wonderful mix of emotions, thrill, comedy, and romance, and we surely haven’t had our fill of this journey yet. The beautiful demon has stolen our hearts and we only want more of her savage judgements, which means we need another season! Directed by Park Jin-pyo, the show stars Park Shin-hye, Kim Jae-young, Kim In-kwon, Kim Hye-hwa, Lee Joong-ok, Choi Dong-goo, alongside other cast members.
The Kdrama follows Kang Bit-na aka Justicia’s journey into the human realm where she is sent as a punishment for her wrong judgement. With the task of sending 10 unrepenting sinners to hell within a year, she begins passing out unfair judgements so that she can kill them herself and finish her task. However, this catches the eye of a cop- Han Da-on, who suspects her connection to these killings.
The show has certainly been a pleasure to watch, making it the second of Park Shin-hye’s hits this year. She gave us a wonderful performance in this show and did justice to the plot, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Alongside her, Kim Jae-young has become one of our favourites as he stuns us with an equally wonderful performance that brings out a beautiful chemistry between the two.
The show may be over with 14 episodes, of which the finale aired on November 2nd, 2024, fans cannot stop talking about a possible season 2. We surely haven’t had enough of this show and are praying for The Judge from Hell season 2, not just because we want more of Bit-na’s adventures but also because there are quite a few questions that we are left with.
Bringing these very questions of what a season 2 can bring to us, let’s begin.
What to Expect from The Judge from Hell Season 2?
When discussing the unanswered questions left behind from season 1, we have to begin with the offer presented to Bit-na in the final episode. During her last year as a human, Bael visits Bit-na in her office with an offer from Lucifer- to send 10 sinners within a year and get a chance to live her life as a human. But having become a righteous judge since the case of the J serial killings case, Bit-na has a hard time choosing between love and her conscience.

This is one of the biggest questions that could carry out another season, despite what Bit-na chooses to do. However, we have to agree that if this judge who has come straight from hell decides to send those 10 sinners then we are in for another very satisfying adventure. Something about the way she punishes them is just too good and entertaining.
Another question that has me thinking is what happened to the real Kang Bit-na? The last we saw of her was escaping someone when in hell and being saved by a light. Was she rescued from hell and sent somewhere else or is there something else happening there? The real Kang Bit-na is truly an intriguing character who is surrounded by a mystery of her own. I hope the show is renewed with some focus on her too, because seeing Park Shin-hye in a double role is surely something that would be intriguing.
Next, we have to talk about the demon who had everyone looking for him- Satan. While the show gave a clean end to his role, is he really someone who would take his punishment this easily? Satan is shown as a notorious demon who knows how to trick people and cause chaos, and I don’t think that his story would end this easily. Especially after the magic he did before appearing outside the vault with Bit-na. Did his magic work in that split second or not? We wouldn’t know because of how the scene shifts in that moment.
And truly speaking, seeing him and a revengeful Kang Bit-na teaming up to bring havoc to the demon judge Bit-na would be a true entertainer. I really hope the show decides to make a return because the possibilities of what could happen in a sequel are unlimited.
Is There Going to Be The Judge from Hell Season 2?
While fans are asking for a season 2 from the makers of this show and with the immense popularity it has gained, the possibility of a season 2 is definitely on the table. However, the makers of the show have not confirmed anything as of yet. But looking at the open ending of the show, we can never throw away this possibility. Instead, we can hope that a confirmation comes out soon so that fans can eagerly look forward to their favourite demon’s return.
