Lee Dong Gun and Park Ha Sun will team up for a new romance short form K-drama.
According to multiple media insiders, Lee Dong Gun and Park Ha Sun have been picked to lead the upcoming K-drama Useless Love (literal translation).
Useless Love is a romance story about a man and a woman who slept together by mistake. The two also believe in the outdated notion that if a man and a woman spend the night together, they should get married.
The upcoming K-drama will be the collaboration work of director Lee Jung Sub (Dali and the Cocky Prince, Healer, and Bread, Love and Dreams) and writer Park Ji Hye.
This will be the reunion of Lee Dong Gun with director Lee Jung Sub. The two previously worked in the K-dramas Queen for Seven Days and Angel’s Last Mission: Love.
Useless Love will premiere in January 2025. It will be released through the short-form streaming platform PulsePick.
Lee Dong Gun will portray the role of Lee Mu Gae. He is the editor-in-chief of a publishing company. He is praised for taking care of his family and having a perfect life but one thing he can’t do is confess his feelings due to his timid personality.
This will be the comeback of Lee Dong Gun to the romance genre after several years. He was last seen in the Netflix original K-drama Celebrity. The actor is also active in the variety show My Little Old Boy.
On the other hand, Park Ha Sun will portray Dodo Hye’s role. She works in the design department of a publishing company. She already mastered living life alone. She also believes that she can be the perfect bride with her face, body, and skills. Although she thinks like that, she blocks every man who approaches her.
Aside from Useless Love, Park Ha Sun will also star in the upcoming K-dramas The Love Story of Choon Hwa and Queen of the Scene.
