According to an exclusive report by media outlet Xports News on December 2, actor Park Min-jae died of sudden cardiac arrest on November 29 while in China.
In addition, a heartfelt message was shared on Park Min-jae’s personal social media account, written by his sibling
“Our beloved brother has left us to rest. We hope that as many people as possible can come to see him off. We apologize for not being able to notify everyone individually. Thank you for your understanding”, the post wrote.
Following the news, Hwang Ju-hye, CEO of Park’s agency, also expressed her sorrow, saying, “He (Park Min-jae) said he would conquer China during a month-long trip, but he has embarked on an even longer journey. The news is too shocking, too unexpected… His family must be experiencing an even greater sorrow. Min-jae, we still have so much left unsaid, so much left undone… Min-jae, I was grateful to be your representative, even if only for a short time. I will never forget the name ‘Actor Park Min-jae’ —those works will stay with me forever!”
On the other hand, the funeral home for Park Min-jae is being held in Room 9 at Ewha Womans University Seoul Hospital Funeral Hall. His funeral will take place on December 4 at 9:30 AM (KST), with burial arrangements yet to be decided.
Park Min-jae was known for his roles in numerous dramas, including “Tomorrow”, “Little Women”, “The Fabulous”, “Payback”, “Call It Love”, among others.
His sudden passing has left the entertainment industry and his fans in deep mourning.
Prior to Park Min-jae, actor Song Jae-rim passed away at the age of 39. At the time, it was reported that a friend who had made a lunch appointment at the time visited Song Jae-rim’s house, found the deceased, and reported it to the police. A two-page suicide note was left at the scene.
