On December 18th, the Instagram account @newjeans_official, which is NewJeans’ official Instagram account managed by ADOR, shared images from the NewJeans’ latest photoshoot with Vogue Korea.
The photos featured NewJeans members showcasing both Western-style outfits and traditional Korean hanbok. Interestingly, the group name “NewJeans” was absent from the Vogue Korea post, and the caption highlighted, “The five girls we love—Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein —sending greetings to the new present,” while crediting Special Creative Director Min Hee-jin.
The same Vogue Korea photoshoot was also shared on the newly created Instagram @jeanzforfree, which is by NewJeans members themselves. Like Vogue Korea’s post, it featured the members’ real names and included credit to Min Hee-jin.
Meanwhile, on NewJeans official account managed by ADOR, the caption read, “NewJeans ‘Vogue Korea’ January 2025 Edition” and included hashtags such as #NewJeans and #NewJeans_is_Everywhere. However, the credit for “Special Creative Director Min Hee-jin” was missing.
Thus, fans of NewJeans have expressed frustration, questioning if ADOR is allowed to post the photos, which weren’t shot under the name “NewJeans”, especially as members have announced their contract termination with the agency. They also criticized ADOR for excluding Min Hee-jin’s name.

On the other hand, Min Hee-jin announced her resignation as an in-house director of ADOR on November 20, officially leaving the company. Following her departure, NewJeans also declared their intention to terminate their exclusive contract with ADOR and hope to continue working with Min Hee-jin.
In response, ADOR filed a lawsuit at the Seoul Central District Court to confirm the validity of the exclusive contract, asserting that the agreement with NewJeans remains legally binding.
