SEVENTEEN Is Billboard’s Top K-Pop Tour of 2024 With Whopping Near Nine Figures

Anyone who’s been following SEVENTEEN’s meteoric rise over the last few years won’t be shocked to see their name at the top of Billboard‘s Highest Grossing K-Pop Tours List of 2024, which named the ten top performing acts of the year.

The list, which sources its data from year-end Boxscore charts, excludes statistics from any overseas activities, including numerous legs and tour extensions in Asia and beyond.

The 13-member group easily overtook all other competitors, raking in a shocking $98.4 million, just shy of a whopping nine figures.

The tour’s feats included over 865,000 fans in attendance, and just 24 shows, averaging around $4.1 million per show.

HYBE’s ENHYPEN also had a monstrous year, considering the freshness of the boy group since their debut in 2020. The septet raked in an impressive $63 million, with 36 shows and 407,0000 tickets sold.

The list’s remaining top spots in third and fourth were also occupied by boy groups TXT and ATEEZ, who brought in $58.1 million and $37.6 million respectively.

The largest-grossing girl group of the year was JYP Entertainment’s TWICE, who netted $24.2 million over the course of just five shows, beating SEVENTEEN’s average at $4.84 million per show and a whooping 220,000 fans in attendance. Had the group decided to embark on a more audacious venture in the States, it might’ve been a woman’s world after all.

Equally as imposing is IU’s track record of selling out venues, especially as the sole solo act on the list, coming in sixth with $16.6 million in eight modest shows.

The remaining spots on the list were rounded out with IVE in seventh ($10.8 million), NCT Dream in eighth ($7.8 million), (G)I-DLE in ninth ($6.7 million), and iTZY in tenth ($6 million).

Fans may note that mega groups BLACKPINK and BTS are off-cycle, with members of the girl group pursuing solo endeavors while various members of BTS are in the midst of completing their compulsory military service.

The two acts, a force to be reckoned with in their own might, previously ranked among the magazine’s top ten-grossing tours regardless of genre.
