BLACKPINK’s Rosé Apologizes for ‘APT.’ Craze “Oh My, I’m So Sorry”

On December 24, a netizen wrote on her social media, “Rosé, Bruno Mars, please help save my son who is addicted to ‘APT.’ from morning to night, every single day.

The netizen included the caption “Possessed by ‘APT.’ level: legendary” and uploaded a video of her two-year-old son enthusiastically singing “APT.” nonstop on the bed even after 8 PM.

The post quickly gained traction across social media and online communities. To everyone’s surprise, Rosé herself replied with a playful comment “Oh my, I’m so sorry, ma’am”, adding to the buzz.

Released on October 18 as the first pre-release single from Rosé’s full-length album “rosie”, “APT.” was inspired by a drinking game. The track’s upbeat melody and repetitive lyrics became irresistibly catchy.

Upon its release, “APT.” achieved a Perfect All Kill (PAK) on Korean music charts, reached the top spot on the U.S. Spotify chart and dominated iTunes charts in 40 regions. Additionally, it debuted at No.8 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, setting a new record for a K-pop female artist.
