On December 31, a video titled “Highlight Reaction with Park Gyu-young” was uploaded on Netflix Korea’s official YouTube channel, giving fans an exciting behind-the-scenes glimpse into the actress’s experience with “Squid Game 2.”
In the video, Park Gyu-young shared her thoughts on her character, No-eul, explaining, “No-eul is a character who escaped from North Korea after serving as a soldier. In the process, she loses her family, and searching for her daughter becomes the only reason for her to keep living, making her a dark character.”
She also revealed a surprising detail about her role, “No-eul is actually not a participant, but a Pink Guard. It’s almost the first time I’m saying this out loud, and it gives me a dopamine rush,” expressing her excitement.
She continued, “The story behind the participants wasn’t explained, and I feel that I was able to share part of the Pink Guard’s story. Many people might have thought I was a participant, and I hope they were surprised. I’m really grateful to all the fans who watched the show.”
Meanwhile, “Squid Game 2” was officially released worldwide on December 26, continuing the global success of the first season.
