Yoo Yeon-seok of Netflix’s drama “When the Phone Rings” maintained his position at the top for three consecutive weeks, securing the first spot four times during the drama’s airing period. Fellow cast member Chae Soo-bin ranked fifth in the actor buzz category.
In the drama buzz rankings, Netflix’s series “Squid Game” Season 2 maintained its lead for the second week in a row. Among the cast members, Lee Jung-jae ranked third and Lee Byung-hun placed tenth.
JTBC’s drama “The Tale of Lady Ok”, which ranked third, saw its buzz rise by 33.8% compared to the previous week. Cast members Lim Ji-yeon and Choo Young-woo ranked second and fourth, respectively, in the actor buzz rankings.
The fourth and fifth spots in drama buzz rankings were taken by SBS’s new drama “Love Scout” and tvN’s “When the Stars Gossip”. Positions six through ten were held by Channel A’s “Check-in Hanyang”, KBS2’s “Who Is She”, KBS2’s “Iron Family”, KBS2’s “Cinderella Game” and Disney+’s “Light Shop”.
The actor buzz rankings also included notable names.
Lee Joon-hyuk and Han Ji-min from “Love Scout” ranked sixth and seventh, while Lee Min-ho from “When the Stars Gossip” came in ninth.
Good Data Corporation’s analysis was conducted on TV dramas and OTT original dramas aired or scheduled for release from December 30, 2024 to January 5, 2025. The study covered each program and its cast members, analyzing buzz generated through news articles, netizen reactions, video clips, shorts and SNS activity.
Non-relevant data and content with malicious intent were filtered out, enabling a more accurate analysis of each program’s competitiveness. The analysis boasts an accuracy rate of over 97%.
