In the 2009 film “Jeon Woo Chi,” Kang Dong Won played Jeon Woo Chi, a mischievous and accident-prone monk’s disciple with supernatural abilities, at the Chonkwandae Temple. Kang Dong Won portrayed the monk Jeon Woo Chi brilliantly and showcased spectacular action sequences, captivating an audience of 6.06 million.

The film “Haunters,” released before his military enlistment, depicted a fantasy world where individuals with hidden supernatural abilities engage in battles in everyday life. Kang Dong Won once again received acclaim for his acting. 

In the 2015 film “The Priest,” Kang Dong Won’s portrayal as a priest caught viewers’ attention. Kang Dong Won’s appearance in a priest’s attire at the time went viral in Korea thanks to his exceptional visuals.

Dr. Cheon and Lost Talisman

In “A Violent Prosecutor,” Kang Dong Won played Chiwon, a charismatic and handsome con artist. His unique prisoner outfit in the film even led to the popular joke among Korean netizens that he single-handedly upgraded the prison uniform fashion.

In his upcoming film “Dr. Cheon and Lost Talisman,” set to be released on September 27th, Kang Dong Won transforms into an exorcist. “Dr. Cheon and Lost Talisman” follows the story of a fake exorcist, Dr. Cheon, who does not believe in ghosts but possesses an uncanny insight like a ghost. He runs a YouTube exorcism channel and solves various cases. 

Kang Dong Won’s relentless pursuit of diverse characters and boundless acting spectrum raise high expectations for his character transformation in “Dr. Cheon and Lost Talisman.”
