Meanwhile, Jeong-suk’s friends are determined to lift her spirits. Ju-ri humorously suggests she find a new love, but the group decides a girls’ trip would be more helpful. Their plan fortuitously aligns with an opportunity from their work: a sales trip to Gyesim-do Island, with a chance to earn a portion of the profits. Since Ms. Park can’t join, the four friends are set to handle the event, an overnight adventure that will give them some much-needed relaxation and bonding.

Before the trip, Jeong-suk meets Da-hyun at the library, where he’s researching documents as part of his search for his mother. She invites him to her house, thinking it might give him a chance to speak with her mother, who may know something about the town’s history that could help him. As they chat, she also sees it as an opportunity to thank him for helping with her son, Min-ho, who gets to spend time with his friend Dong-u while Da-hyun visits.

When Da-hyun meets Jeong-suk’s mother, their conversation turns to the town’s history, including the fires that used to happen frequently when most houses had thatched roofs. However, an emergency pulls Jeong-suk’s mother away, leaving Da-hyun on babysitting duty. Min-ho and Dong-u initially find Da-hyun intimidating, especially when he outshines them at their games, but he wins them over by stepping in to protect Min-ho from a bully. He also helps Min-ho get ready for bed, solidifying the young boy’s admiration.

Out on Gyesim-do, Jeong-suk and her friends are met with resistance from the members of the President’s Club, who seem skeptical about the women’s business. In an attempt to break the ice, the friends join them for some clam-fishing, where they overhear a heated argument. It turns out that the President’s son and Mi-yeong, the daughter of one of the women in the group, were once engaged. Their relationship soured when Mi-yeong left for the city to pursue acting, leaving both families at odds. Jeong-suk’s group takes it upon themselves to help bridge this rift.

Tensions peak when a disagreement causes the fantasy lingerie items they brought to be flung into the mud, ruining the goods. Luckily, their cosmetic products remain unharmed, so they switch gears and successfully sell the creams instead. That night, the women let loose, sharing stories and fantasies while playfully re-enacting famous film scenes, which strengthens their bond. Jeong-suk begins to open up to the group, though she’s still a bit reserved, remembering that Seong-su had discouraged her from asserting herself in the past.

Back at home, Jeong-suk returns to find Da-hyun still playing with Min-ho and Dong-u, though Min-ho makes it clear that Da-hyun isn’t the best cook. Grateful for his help, Jeong-suk prepares a meal using the clams she caught on the island, which Da-hyun thoroughly enjoys. During a late-night walk, the two talk openly about the unusual connection they share, a comfortable closeness beyond friendship. Da-hyun confides in her about his search for his birth parents, with Geumje as his only lead.

At the police station, Da-hyun becomes engrossed in the arson case from years ago that might be tied to his past. Inspired, he consults the captain with an idea to investigate further. Elsewhere, Geum-hui returns home to her husband, Dae-geum, who is encouraged by her success and decides to pay Ju-ri a visit at her salon. However, he soon realizes that her compliments about his resemblance to a celebrity were merely a marketing tactic, leaving him disappointed as he leaves.

Jeong-suk’s business ventures, meanwhile, take an exciting turn. Impressed by her success selling products on Gyesim-do, her company offers her a position as a branch manager, with a stable salary. She feels the weight of this potential new path and considers the offer seriously. Just as she is about to leave, she runs into Gyeong-sik, an old schoolmate, who invites her to his home, claiming his wife, Jeong-rim, wants to meet her and has hurt her back. Though something feels off, Jeong-suk accepts the invitation.

She leaves a message for her friends, but since they’re all busy, she heads to Gyeong-sik’s place alone. At the same time, Da-hyun overhears where she’s going and grows suspicious, sensing something isn’t right. Unbeknownst to Jeong-suk, Gyeong-sik isn’t married, and she finds herself in a precarious situation when he begins following her around the flower farm, acting strangely. Fortunately, Da-hyun arrives just in time, finding her as she panics amidst the flower sheds, and saves her from Gyeong-sik’s unsettling behavior.

This episode masterfully combines the tension of Jeong-suk’s personal life and her business pursuits with Da-hyun’s search for his past, building both their character arcs with humor, suspense, and heartfelt moments. The two continue to find solace in each other, highlighting their evolving relationship while reminding Jeong-suk of her growing resilience and independence in the face of her turbulent past.
