Actor Playing “The Trunk” Stalker Impresses Small-Screen Viewers

Kim Dong-won is bringing fear to audiences with his chilly acting in “The Trunk” as a stalker

Actor Kim Dong-won was born on June 26th, 1984 in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi-do. He currently stars in the Netflix drama “The Trunk” as stalker Eom Tae-seong, who harasses the female lead No In-ji (Seo Hyun-jin), providing chills to viewers.

Showcasing impressive acting performances in “The Trunk”, the actor is gaining favorable reviews from drama fans. His character, Eom Tae-seong, appears as a skillful tteok (Korean rice cake)-maker, however, as the story continues, he gradually unveils his other face as a villain and provides audiences with a chilling atmosphere through unpredictable violent actions and psychopathic behaviors.

Thanks to Kim Dong-won’s amazing performance, “The Trunk” has captivated many viewers and currently ranks No.1 on the Top 10 Dramas in Netflix Korea and dominates the top spots on global drama rankings.

Starting with the theater play “Hamlet” (2011), Kim Dong-won has been building up his filmography step by step by taking on numerous stages. In 2017, the actor made his official debut on the small screen with the role of Baek Kyung in the SBS drama “Doubtful Victory” and left a strong impression with his acting as a violent ex-convict from Musan Prison with the nickname “Mad Dog”.

Later, Kim Dong-won continued to prove his talents by appearing in “My Country: The New Age” as Hwang Sung-rok and “Hot Stove League” as Kwak Han-young, the main infielder of the baseball team “Dreams”. In particular, his appearance in “Hot Stove League” further imprinted his name in the public’s mind.

Aside from the ongoing drama “The Trunk”, Kim Dong-won will also star in Disney+’s upcoming project called “The Murky Stream”, which is a historical drama by writer Chun Sung-il and director Chu Chang-min.
