ADOR Supports Hanni’s Bullying Claims, But Bunnies Slam ‘Late’ Preventive Measures: ‘Trying to Save Face’

ADOR’s latest statement addressing Hanni’s bullying claims has received negative feedback from Bunnies.

According to a forum on November 27, K-netz shared ADOR’s stance on Hanni’s claims of NewJeans being bullied by HYBE staff. Prior to the statement, NewJeans members previously demanded ADOR to rectify all breaches of their exclusive contracts in 14 days.

If the company fails to comply with the demand, the members will terminate their exclusive contracts. The demands also included specific measures to investigate HYBE’s controversial internal document, which mentioned an instruction to “discard NewJeans and start over.”

The members have also requested an official apology from another HYBE group’s manager. Furthermore, they also demanded the resolution of the damages suffered by NewJeans due to “album pushing” and the conclusion of the dispute with Dolphiners Films CEO Shin Woo-seok.

Following this demand, ADOR released a statement disclosing that the agency has initially “maintained a cautious stance” to the bullying claims to prevent unnecessary controversy for its artists. Since the situation had not yet subsided, the company eventually decided to speak up.

BELIFT LAB has also shared insights regarding one of their manager’s disregarding remarks. However, ADOR stated that BELIFT LAB’s claims were entirely different from Hanni’s testimony.

“On May 27, 2024, a BELIFT LAB staff commented remarks such as ‘Ignore her,’ or ‘Just ignore and pass by.’ Expecting the victim to recall each detail of the incident, which happened briefly, is very unreasonable and harsh.”

It also added, “ADOR fully trusts the words of our artists and genuinely regrets the harm Hanni has suffered.”

ADOR also instructed BELIFT LAB to take Hanni’s suffering seriously and show mutual respect to prevent further conflicts.

However, Bunnies slammed ADOR’s late response to the serious matter, and even claimed that the company was “saving face.” Read their comments below:

  • “They are only acting like this now.”
  • “What’s the point of saying this?”
  • “Saying this now? You should’ve treated her better back then.”
  • “They’re scrambling. They’re either trying to save face or preparing a counter defense and this nonsensical statement is just one of their proofs.”
