According to the official announcement on June 10 via the Waterbomb 2025 website and social media, aespa’s Karina is set to perform on the second day, July 5, of the Seoul event, which runs from July 4 to 6.
Waterbomb is a major summer music festival held annually in key cities across South Korea, renowned for its live artist performances combined with refreshing water cannon shows. This fusion of music and water play has made it a signature summer festival, attracting large crowds each year.
Debuting in 2020, aespa gained attention with its unique worldview and AI avatar concept. The group has built a strong reputation with hit songs like Black Mamba, Next Level, Savage, Spicy, Whiplash, Supernova, and Armageddon. In 2023, aespa released their first full-length album and successfully completed European and Asian tours, expanding their global fandom while sweeping major awards at music ceremonies, solidifying their presence.
Karina, in particular, showcased her prowess as a solo artist with her 2024 single UP, delivering powerful performances and stylish stage presence.
Having performed at Waterbomb in 2023, aespa captivated audiences with stunning visuals and intense performances. Karina’s first solo appearance at Waterbomb is generating significant anticipation.
Waterbomb Seoul 2025 will take place at the KINTEX Outdoor Global Stage in Ilsan, Goyang City, Gyeonggi Province. Subsequent events are scheduled for July 26 in Busan and August 23 in Sokcho. On July 5, alongside Karina, artists including Jay Park, Huta (Lee Min-hyuk), fromis_9, Jeon Somi, NCT’s Ten, Loco, Lee Young-ji, tripleS, and dance crew WEDEMBOYZ will perform.
Other confirmed performers for Waterbomb 2025 include J.Y. Park, ITZY, Chung Ha, Kep1er, Billlie, 2NE1, EXO’s Kai, Crush, Lee Chang-sub, Kwon Eunbi, and KISS OF LIFE.
