On December 11, a topic titled “aespa’s Winter and ENHYPEN’s Jungwon spotted dating” was published on the Korean forum Pann Nate, alleging that Winter and Jungwon met at a bar in Cheongdam-dong.
In particular, the author of this post wrote, “There’s more I could share from other days, but I’ll hold back for now. They’ll likely have overlapping schedules around the year-end events, lucky for them.”
The topic also included several photos, claiming that Winter wore the same outfit she had on during a challenge video and met Jungwon at the bar. It also stated, “Winter got into a taxi first, followed by Jungwon,” suggesting the two had been on a secret date.
A short video clip showing a masked man talking on the phone was also shared, with some netizens speculating that the voice belonged to Jungwon.
As the topic spread, netizens have reacted with mixed opinions, leaving comments such as, “Are Winter and Jungwon really dating?” “If true, they make such a cute couple,” “First Karina, now Winter too?” and “I can’t believe an idol couple might emerge at the end of the year.”
The original post has since been deleted.
On the other hand, regarding the dating rumors, ENHYPEN’s agency, Belift Lab, told media outlet Xports News on December 11 that they are currently verifying the information. The agency then issued another statement claiming that the dating rumors are not true, adding that they will be taking strong action against acts that invade the artist’s privacy and create and spread malicious rumors.
Meanwhile, SM Entertainment has officially denied the dating rumors, declaring that the rumors are “completely unfounded.”
The agency further explained, “The individual who distributed the photos attempted to contact a media outlet with the intention of financial gain and sought direct communication with us. However, the media outlet refused to connect them, citing their policy against financially motivated tips. Following this, the individual maliciously spread the photos. We plan to take legal action against this behavior.”
