On the Jan 3rd broadcast of MBC’s “I Live Alone”, Ahn Jae-hyun was shown doing a year-end settlement of his 2024 expenditures.
During the episode, Ahn Jae-hyun reviewed his credit card statements to conduct a year-end financial summary. Earlier in the year, he had expressed a desire to improve his financial management, and he meticulously examined his spending habits.
Excluding cash transactions, he disclosed his total annual expenses: 9,179,463 won on card payments, 803,000 won on fuel, 540,310 won on insurance and 3,195,880 won on maintenance fees, amounting to a total of 13,718,653 won.
Ahn Jae-hyun humorously remarked about his entertainment expenses, “I played some arcade games at Ui Market, but arcades are scarier than I thought.” However, what stood out most was his medical expenses. He said in surprise, “I go to the hospital even for minor issues. If you miss the right timing, you end up spending a lot more over a long time. I was sick quite a lot this year. My medical expenses totaled over 6 million won.”
Reflecting on his frugality, Ahn Jae-hyun shared, “In 2024, if I wanted something, I just held the thought and went to sleep.” He expressed his intent to save more in the coming year, adding, “In 2025, I want to fill my schedule with many activities. I don’t need to rest much; I just want to push myself harder.”
Later, Ahn Jae-hyun called his mother to wish her a happy New Year and express his love. Holding his aging pet dog Anju, he promised to include their health checkups in his plans. Looking back on 2024, Ahn Jae-hyun rated the year a “74 out of 100”, saying, “I want to improve by one point every year. Eventually, I’ll reach 100.“
