While MYs celebrated Karina’s achievement, fans of Jang Wonyoung expressed their suspicion towards the aespa members’ achievement.

Many have come out to accuse the female idol of buying bot followers and Instagram likes. Some have even taken to social media sites such as X (formerly Twitter) for alleged evidence.

Screen recordings and screenshots of supposed bot accounts were spread online, with many accusing either Karina or her label, SM Entertainment, of buying her followers to earn her the “most-followed” title.
