On Nov 8th, Universal Pictures, the distributor of the film “Wicked” (directed by Jon M. Chu), announced, “Wicked’s lead stars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande will make a surprise appearance on ‘Amazing Saturday’, airing on Nov 9th.”
Cynthia Erivo, who plays Elphaba, and Ariana Grande, who plays Glinda—characters who share a special friendship in the film—are expected to show great synergy on the show. Their interaction with the “Amazing Saturday” cast members is also something fans are looking forward to.
Their appearance on “Amazing Saturday” appears to be part of the promotional campaign for “Wicked”, which is set to premiere in Korea on Nov 20th.
“Wicked” tells the story of Elphaba (played by Cynthia Erivo), who has yet to discover her true power, and Glinda (played by Ariana Grande), who is unaware of her true nature. These two very different characters build a friendship as they face unexpected challenges and adventures together.
