ATTRAKT has taken legal action against Warner Music Korea for allegedly collaborating with former FIFTY FIFTY members Saena, Sio, and Aran in breaching their exclusive contracts.
Regarding the audio files Dispatch released on September 11, the recordings showed contemptuous remarks about ATTRAKT CEO Jeon Hong Joon, as well as discussions about certain strategies for the members to breach their contracts with ATTRAKT.
The secret meetings were also between The Givers CEO Ahn Sung Il, Warner Music Korea CFO Jin Seung Young, ex-FIFTY FIFTY members Saena, Sio, Aran, and their parents.
ATTRAKT eventually shared on September 13 that legal proof has been collected, showing the alleged collusion of Warner Music Korea, The Givers, and the former FIFTY FIFTY members.
ATTRAKT stated that the tampering parties had filed a provisional injunction to suspend their contracts’ effectiveness with ATTRAKT on June 19, 2023.
The agency continued its stance against Warner Music Korea, claiming that the music label had attempted to “unlawfully seize” their former artists through financial prowess and coercion. ATTRAKT concluded that the agency is reviewing all legal options against the company.
