These days seem to be the happiest times for V.I.P – BIGBANG’s fandom. G-Dragon has just made his comeback after 7 years with the single “Power” and an upcoming album, accompanied by various promotional activities. In over half a decade, BIGBANG has never been as active and vibrant as they are now.
Following their reunion performance at Taeyang’s concert in September, BIGBANG recently appeared on “ZIP Daesung.” G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung sat together like in their twenties, sharing joyful memories and discussing their new beginnings. During the November 5th broadcast, BIGBANG left fans momentarily stunned.
From their initial perfect five pieces, BIGBANG lost one member – Seungri – due to unforgivable sexual crimes. In 2022, the group only made one comeback with “Still Life.” T.O.P then left YG and actively removed himself from BIGBANG. Although reluctant, both fans and the remaining three members had to accept this separation.
Daesung compared BIGBANG to a four-leaf clover – a symbol of luck, but with only three leaves remaining, he noted that “The three-leafed clover means happiness.” G-Dragon followed up, expressing his concerns as the group’s leader, hoping that BIGBANG wouldn’t lose any more members, saying he “doesn’t want to be a two-leaf clover.” These two statements from Daesung and G-Dragon left fans in tears.
This touching moment turned lighthearted when Taeyang concluded the conversation by saying “It would be sad to see a two-leaf clover. That would be just a leaf. With two leaves, it’s just a sprout.” Although they were joking around, V.I.P still felt a sense of heartache listening to their idols’ true feelings.
Throughout the talk show, the three BIGBANG members also discussed Daesung’s dating rumors, making everyone laugh out loud. As a legendary group, BIGBANG was also the first to have a lightstick – a symbol representing idol culture designed by G-Dragon himself. However, it took Daesung 10 years to learn this fact.
After enduring numerous challenges, scandals that nearly destroyed their brilliant career, and their farewell in 2022, fortunately, BIGBANG is still here. The return of BIGBANG and G-Dragon is eagerly anticipated by the entire K-pop industry. Not only the public but also fellow idols are “on the edge of their seats” for the king’s return. G-Dragon affirmed that once he completes everything properly, there will be plans for BIGBANG’s two-decade anniversary celebration in 2026.
