Actor Seo In-guk is going to join Jisoo, the member of the band Blackpink, in the upcoming romance drama titled “Monthly Boyfriend.

According to a report from Naver, a source in broadcasting shared the news on September 10.

The preliminary announcement claims that Seo In-guk will become the male lead in a drama that tells the story of virtual relationships and how they work in life.

The director is Kim Jung Sik, who also worked on other series, such as I Hate Being Lost and Drunken City Women. Jisoo, in turn, is going to play the female lead after her debut in the series Snowdrop. 

After this news, the fan anticipation started to grow in Korea and other countries. 

Seo In-guk debuted as a singer in 2009 and since then has become a remarkable actor with a 15 years-old career that includes roles in such popular series as Reply 1997, Master’s Sun, and Shopping King Louie. 

The series is expected to hit mainly as Jisoo has an extensive fanbase because of her musical career, and these two celebrities seem to be a perfect couple. 

Their relationships, virtual or real, make the fans excited as they cannot wait until the series start airing later this year. 

The drama itself, with the will-they-won’t-they couple lines, is romantic and modern at the same time.
