In the show, Mindy Chen originally lived in Shanghai before moving to Paris to seek new opportunities. The ambitious singer quickly became friends with the main character, Emily, after they randomly met in a park. The fact that Mindy is a singer also draws parallels to Lisa, who is a member of BLACKPINK.
Lastly, Mindy Chen in the show was once a judge on a music competition in China. Coincidentally, Lisa was also a mentor on “Youth With You” season 2 and season 3 in China.
