On January 6, Gong Hyo-jin and Lee Min-ho appeared as guests on the show “Zzanbro“ to promote their upcoming drama “When The Stars Gossip.”
During the show, Gong Hyo-jin revealed an amusing behind-the-scenes story about her appearance. “I wasn’t sure if I could do this show because I can’t drink, but Lee Min-ho said he’d act as a ‘knight in shining armor’ while managing himself,” she shared. Describing herself as an “alcohol weakling” or alcohol trash, she admitted her low alcohol tolerance, drawing laughter. When she expressed concern about not knowing her limit, Lee Min-ho joked, “Just drink,” causing an uproar of laughter.
Later, appearing slightly tipsy, Gong Hyo-jin quipped, “Is my face red? My ears feel hot. If it gets worse, please switch to black-and-white,” earning more laughs. She continued teasing Lee Min-ho, “Do you drink like this? You’re handling a lot,” to which Lee Min-ho responded with a smile, “I feel good, I’m happy.”
Shin Dong-yup also shared a surprising anecdote, “I found out Lee Min-ho wasn’t an overnight star.” Lee Min-ho explained, “I played many small roles. I was often cast as an unnamed waiter or a friend. For five years, I took on roles without recognition.” Shin Dong-yup joked, “Even with the same face, you really looked like you had a tough life,” eliciting laughter.
While Lee Min-ho’s image naturally exuded wealth, Gong Hyo-jin was often associated with the image of a struggling breadwinner. However, the reality was quite the opposite. Gong Hyo-jin revealed, “I studied abroad in Australia. My father drove a Grandeur back then,” and laughed, adding, “I was wealthy when I was young.” Shin Dong-yup chimed in, “At the time, a Grandeur was equivalent to a foreign luxury car now,” confirming her statement.
