BOYNEXTDOOR is featured in Apple Music’s Carols Covered 2024, a playlist showcasing reimagined holiday classics from selected artists worldwide, just in time for the Christmas season.
BOYNEXTDOOR chose to cover Michael Bublé’s It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas, saying the song’s warm nostalgia suits their style, and recording in Apple Music’s spatial audio enhances its festive charm.
They explained their choice, “We thought this Christmas classic would suit BOYNEXTDOOR the best, so we decided to cover it.” They added, “Hearing this timeless song in our voices brings out a new charm and captures the winter feeling perfectly.” They also shared that recording the song in Apple Music’s spatial audio format “enhances the joyful, exciting spirit of Christmas.”
This collaboration follows the end of their Samsung Galaxy sponsorship, which had seen them promoting Galaxy products at events and even receiving special recognition from Samsung.
BOYNEXTDOOR drew mixed reactions last month after wrapping up their collaboration with Samsung Galaxy, when they prominently displayed Apple products during their departure at Incheon Airport on November 11.
Only months after their Samsung contract concluded, the members attracted attention by openly holding up iPhones during a photo session before entering the airport. One member took out an iPhone, while others made peace signs for a group selfie. Additionally, three members wore AirPods Max around their necks.
Online platforms, including Nate Pann, quickly filled with posts from fans expressing disappointment in BOYNEXTDOOR’s professionalism.
