Late at night on December 18, BTS’s Jungkook surprised fans with a live broadcast. Here, the male idol mentioned various anecdotes, such as his experience in the military with fellow member Jimin, as well as his love for G-Dragon.
In addition, he sang and danced to various songs, including BLACKPINK’s Rosé’s hit “APT.”.
However, Jungkook’s remark when mentioning “APT.” has drawn mixed reactions.
Particularly, when asked to sing “APT.”, Jungkook initially hesitated, saying, “APT.? should I? but I don’t think I should.. Bruno Mars sunbaenim did such a great job.. it’s so high… I don’t think I should.”
The fact that Jungkook only mentioned Bruno Mars and not Rosé led to various malicious interpretations, with some accusing the male idol of discrediting Rosé. As a result, comments such as, “He really said: we only know Bruno Mars”, “Bruno Mars did a great job carrying that fad”, and “He only gaf about Bruno”, and “He knows the real owner of the song”, can be seen all over the net.
However, many defended Jungkook, clarifying that the male idol’s statement was severely misunderstood. In fact, Jungkook’s comment only showed that he found Bruno Mars’ vocal range too high for him, so he was too afraid to try singing the song.

Some fans of BLACKPINK even agreed that Jungkook not mentioning Rosé is for the better, leaving comments such as, “He knows his sasaeng like fans and what would happen if he would have mentioned Rosé”.
