BTS’s Suga’s Drunk-driving Incident Turned into a Joke by Famous US Comedian

Recently, a new video from “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” has been spreading across SNS platforms as it mentions BTS’s Suga’s drunk-driving incident.

In particular, the video shows famous comedian Stephen Colbert, who mainly focuses on US news and politics, commenting on international news in the segment “What’s Going On Over There?”, which often cover news that Americans might find bizarre or shocking.

Here, the comedian mentioned the fact that BTS’s Suga apologized for driving an electric scooter after drinking and was charged a fine of 5.0 million won (about 11,200 USD) and expressed his shock that Koreans need a license to drive a scooter.

“Wait, Koreans need a license to drive one of these things?… That is .. Good for you South Korea”, the comedian said.

Meanwhile, the audience laughed, finding the entire situation pretty ridiculous.

Despite the situation being made into more a less of a joke, fans of BTS seem to pretty much agree with the sentiment, commenting how ridiculous it is that Suga came under fire over driving a scooter.

It is known that the incident is taken pretty seriously in Korea, as the electric scooter is known to have caused several deaths, and Suga’s blood alcohol level was 0.227% – a pretty high level that mandates license revocation.
