CCTV Reveals Jessi Kissing Producer Koala in “Fan Assault” Case

Previously, in the early hours of September 28, an incident occurred in Apgujeong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, where a minor fan requested a photo with Jessi and was subsequently assaulted by Jessi’s entourage.

Afterwards, Jessi reportedly tried to stop the assault before leaving the scene. The victim then called the police, who arrived at the location. However, Jessi’s side drew a clear line, stating that the assailant, Mr. A, “has no connection to Jessi and is a friend of a producer (Koala) who is close to Jessi. He’s Chinese.”

A total of four individuals, including Jessi, Mr. A, Koala, and another member of the group who were present at the time, were booked on charges of assault after being sued by the victim.

On October 16, as Jessi appeared at the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul, she also stated about the assailant, “It was my first time seeing him.”

Koala was also questioned by the police on October 11 as a suspect. He is accused of blocking the victim’s photo request, pushing their stomach, and threatening them by headbutting. This behavior was captured in additional CCTV footage released by JTBC’s “Crime Chief” on the 16th, adding to the shock of the situation.

Koala is a producer who has worked on several of Jessi’s hit songs, including “NUNU NANA,” “Cold Blooded,” and “What Type of X.” Additionally, Jessi featured on Koala’s single “RSVP,” which was released last year.

However, Jessi’s lawyer stated on “Crime Chief” that “Koala has collaborated with Jessi on music a few times, and Jessi has no connection to any gang. We also have no knowledge of Koala being involved with a gang.”
