When the public praises groups like NMIXX and BaeMon for their live performances, Fearnot fans demand praise for their idols even for minimal singing. Sure, Le Sserafim sings, but as singers, it’s not impressive—it’s just noise. Yet fans insist on praise. Is catching a basketball and making it bounce enough to be considered a good player? Scoring points is what counts. Should a chef be praised just for holding a knife? The food has to be good to earn praise. This isn’t baseless bashing but public opinion.
The public doesn’t follow or care about Le Sserafim as much as Fearnot fans believe. People aren’t that invested. Yet, the fans act as if the whole world is against Le Sserafim. It seems they lack a sense of reality. Famous singers and actors always face negative comments. It’s not ideal, but it’s reality. Haters are common. Despite being with HYBE and having many fans, Le Sserafim’s fans still complain loudly.
Moreover, if the music is good, people will stream it even if they don’t like the singer. However, the latest title track is not impressive. Also, using AR with loud electronic sounds while claiming it’s live only adds to the backlash. When a song is composed isn’t crucial. Songs can be changed even before release. HYBE is a large company; surely they have access to good music. Even if a song was composed long ago, it should be competitive. There must be a reason for choosing this song as the title track. Fans claim they’ve practiced live singing a lot and confidently show maturity, but three out of five members still fall short.
Fans may claim this is unreasonable bashing, but it reflects real public opinion. Fans probably won’t listen, though.
