Chinese Netizens Angered As Liu Yifei Had to Wear Lisa’s Outfit at Paris Fashion Week?

On October 2nd, famous Chinese actress Liu Yifei appeared in Paris, France, to attend the 2024  Paris Fashion Week as the global ambassador of luxury brand Louis Vuitton, according to media outlet Sohu.

Here, the actress wore a black vest paired with a matching ballet skirt, presenting a powerful yet fashionable image. Despite the notorious “Getty Images lens,” Liu Yifei was praised for her confident aura and youthful, smooth skin.

According to Sohu, Liu Yifei is currently a global ambassador for several major brands, and her commercial value and influence remain at the top of the Chinese entertainment industry. Whenever she appears, “the fairy sister” attracts much attention. The keyword “Liu Yifei’s walk” garnered 35 million views.

However, compared to international stars like BLACKPINK’s Lisa, Liu Yifei wasn’t given the same recognition by the brand.

Specifically, during the show, Lisa was seated alongside the First Lady of France Brigitte Macron, LVMH CEO and billionaire Bernard Arnault, and top Hollywood actors. Meanwhile, Liu Yifei was seated far from the center and next to less prominent artists. Moreover, the outfit Liu Yifei wore had been previously worn by Lisa in August. Due to the stark difference in treatment between Lisa and Liu Yifei, there was heated debate, and the topic “Liu Yifei and Lisa wearing the same outfit” garnered 45 million views.

Currently, Liu Yifei has not joined a new film project for over 200 days. However, the actress stated that she is not in a hurry unless there is a script she is satisfied with.

Liu Yifei is considered an “exception” in the Chinese entertainment industry, as she maintains her fame without constantly filming. This is partly due to her balanced lifestyle between career and enjoying life, as well as her significant wealth, which allows her not to overwork.

Over the past three years, Liu Yifei has returned to television and achieved notable success. Her works, such as “A Dream of Splendor”, “Meet Yourself”, and “The Tale of Rose” have made waves upon airing.

Born in 1987, Liu Yifei is one of the top actresses in Chinese showbiz. She rose to fame early with many memorable roles, such as Wang Yuyan in “Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils” (2003), Bai Xiuzhu in “The Story of a Noble Family” (2003), and Xiaolongnu in “The Return of the Condor Heroes” (2006).
