Choo Young Woo transforms into a storyteller who captivates audiences across Joseon in The Tale of Lady Ok.
The Tale of Lady Ok tells the story of Ok Tae Young (Im Ji Yeon), a woman whose name, status, and husband are all fake, and Cheon Seung Hwi (Choo Young Woo), a storyteller who risked his life to protect her.
Cheon Seung Hwi (Choo Young Woo) is a Jeongisu, who travels the nation reading books to people. With remarkable artistry and good looks, he has amassed both wealth and popularity.
Though he appears to have it all, Cheon Seung Hwi has a secret he cannot share: he was once Song Seo In, the eldest son of the prestigious Song family. Curiosity grows about what led him to his present state.
In one of the stills, he can be seen covering his face with a screen, gazing sharply into the distance. But, when he sheds the glamorous appearance of the stage and reveals the face hidden behind the screen, a gentler side of him emerges.
The Tale of Lady Ok will premiere on November 30. More news about the K-drama’s global OTT platform is yet to come.
