The way the creators presented the confrontation between the show’s lead characters caused such a reaction. In that particular scene, Jung So Min’s fictional character, Seok Ryu, is chased down a dark alley by Jung Hae In’s character, Seung Hyo.

They are left with no other option but to confront each other, and the encounter becomes intense. Seok Ryu, obviously frightened, accuses Seung Hyo of scaring her, and Seung Hyo responds that Seok Ryu should have checked what was behind her.
Their dialogue spirals down further into Seung Hyo arguing why it was not his fault that they met. Seok Ryu responds that he scared her for no reason. This scene has outraged a significant part of social media, especially among female viewers who felt that the creators of the show belittled the real fear of violence that women experience.
A tweet has gained a considerable amount of attention and, as of writing, has been viewed by over a 5.8million people, said: “What kind of horrible lines are those for a male lead in a romantic comedy? This isn’t a joke-it happens in real life to women”.

Furthermore, this scene, they said, has reminded that many people do not experience fear for their lives on their daily walks to places as many women do.
Finally, few comments pointed that while the series are “cute”, that scene took away the pleasure of watching it.
