“Culinary Class Wars” confirms Season 2 production “Thanks to the viewers”

On October 15th, Netflix confirmed the production of Season 2 of the popular cooking show “Culinary Class Wars“, continuing the trend of cooking competition shows.

Since its release on September 17th, “Culinary Class Wars” has been ranked first in Netflix’s Global TOP 10 TV non-English category for three consecutive weeks. Due to its success, Netflix has officially greenlit Season 2, which will feature even fiercer culinary battles and is set to be released in the latter half of next year.

For Season 2, the creators behind Season 1, including producers Kim Hak-min, Kim Eun-ji and writer Mo Eun-seol, will return to deliver an upgraded version of the culinary competition. The show’s popularity soared domestically. For four consecutive weeks after its release, “Culinary Class Wars” dominated discussions in Korea. It also became the first-ever OTT variety show to rank No.1 in Gallup Korea’s September survey for “Koreans’ Favorite Programs”.

Following the global phenomenon of “Culinary Class Wars”, Netflix has lined up more exciting shows to continue the trend, including “Comedy Revenge”, “Zombieverse: New Blood” and “Rugged Rugby: Conquer or Die”. These new releases aim to showcase the strength of Korean cooking survival shows.
