Dare to Love Me Plot

This rom-com series follows the journeys of Shin Yoon-bok and Kim Hong-do, whose lives invariably cross one another in the most inexplicable way.

Yoon-bok is a disciplined scholar from Seongsan Village, a place that strictly abides by the conservative, Confucian values of the Joseon Dynasty and is essentially stuck in time. However, in spite of listening to his elders and respecting their beliefs, Yoon-bok has a rebellious streak and dreams of leaving all of this behind and becoming a webtoon writer. On the other hand, Hong-do is a down-on-her-luck arts teacher who dreams of becoming a designer but presently works menial jobs in a cut-throat design agency with few prospects.

When Yoon-bok, thus, decides to run away from his village and taste the first exciting moments of freedom, he bumps into Hong-do, sparking both of them to reevaluate their lives and aspirations and possibly give birth to something more.

Dare to Love Me Episode 3 Prediction

In the third episode, Hong-do will be feeling butterflies for Yoon-bok as he comes to her aid every time. The two will get closer as they will often hang out and spend time even if it means sitting away from each other or facing each other’s back. Yoon-bok will grow fond of Hong-do but hold onto her as his past teacher and nothing more than that. However, Hong-do will consider him as a grown 24 year old man and fall for him.

Meanwhile, at her workplace, she will be walked over by her colleagues due to Hyang-gi’s tantrums. Nobody will believe Hong-do but will only torment her. On the other hand, Yoon-bok will be on the run to find the culprit and get back his family’s belongings from the thief that’s yet to be known. During his pursuit he will face someone he never wanted to ever see again.

Dare to Love Me Episode 2 Recap

Episode 2 of “Dare to Love Me” picks up with Hong-do finding herself unexpectedly in Yoon-bok’s arms. She recalls their encounter from the previous night, where he had caught her after her ex had pushed her away. Feeling awkward about the situation, Hong-do hastily bids farewell to Yoon-bok, hoping to avoid any further interactions with him.

The following morning, Hong-do is taken aback to see Yoon-bok on the rooftop of the adjacent apartment building. Learning that he will be staying there temporarily, she feels self-conscious about her appearance and quickly retreats indoors. During breakfast, her brother jokingly mentions his friend moving in next door, teasing him about keeping his shirt on.

As Hong-do attempts to leave her house, she encounters Yoon-bok once again. Their encounters continue to be awkward, with Yoon-bok pretending to drop his fan to provide an excuse for Hong-do to escape. Worried that he may have done something wrong to cause her discomfort, Yoon-bok reflects on their interactions.

Meanwhile, Yoon-bok makes another attempt to enter the nightclub but faces rejection. He seeks help from Gi-chan to access the VIP area, but remains dissatisfied with the clothing options available. On the other hand, Hong-do reluctantly agrees to make a reservation for a couple, but decides to skip the event and meet a friend at a club instead.

At the club, both Yoon-bok and Hong-do find themselves coincidentally in the same place. Yoon-bok notices Hong-do celebrating her freedom and approaches her formally, leading to another embarrassing moment for her. However, he soon realizes that he can access the VIP area with his wristband.

During their time at the club, Yoon-bok discovers a hidden room with a man tied to a chair and comes to his aid when confronted by assailants. Despite being outnumbered, Yoon-bok manages to scare off the attackers and calls for help. He then decides to hide the rescued man in Seongsan Village, reflecting on his father’s death and his determination to uncover the truth.

Meanwhile, Manager Jun-ho’s arrival in the village sparks criticism, and in Seoul, Hong-do faces a troubling encounter with her ex, Do Yeong, who attempts to manipulate her. Yoon-bok intervenes, prompting Hong-do to reflect on his presence during her moments of vulnerability.

The following day, Hong-do confronts her colleague Hyang-gi for stealing her design, leading to tension among her coworkers. Feeling dejected, she heads home in the rain, only to be surprised by Yoon-bok holding an umbrella over her. This unexpected gesture marks a turning point in their relationship, hinting at the possibility of a deeper connection between them.
