Did NewJeans’ Styling Become ‘Awful’? Girl Group’s Fashion Starts Debate Among Bunnies

NewJeans often stood out in the current K-pop generation with their Y2K fashion, one of the factors that molded their unique identity in the music scene. However, the group’s recent styling sparked a debate online.

On October 25, Korean netizens opened a community thread, titled, “NewJeans’ Sense of Style Has Become Awful Since They Changed ADOR’s CEO.”

The title referred to the stepping down of Min Hee Jin, who formerly served as CEO of ADOR. Min Hee Jin also oversees the creative production for NewJeans in terms of concepts, aesthetics, and many more.

In the post, OP uploaded two photos of the NewJeans members posing at the 11th EDaily Culture Awards. The author expressed frustration by saying, “What is this,” highlighting the members’ sense of style at the occasion.

One netizen even commented, “NewJeans’ coordi has sucked a long time ago.”

However, some fans argued that the members have always dressed in this certain style and that there was no instance where their fashion was considered “bad.”
